The Great Hall - A place to fill your empty stomach before racing back to classes. It's vaulted ceiling holds an illusion of the night sky in the evenings. In the daylight it mostly holds owls.

The Moving Stair Cases are rather scary at first but you'll get used to them. If you happen to get lost, feel free to ask the portraits for directions.

Each house has a common room and dormitories where students sleep and spend their free time. The common rooms have comfortable chairs and assorted tables for students to work at and to play games such as wizard chess or Exploding Snap. Each common room also has a large fireplace.

This is where our Great Headmaster Dumbledore lives and works. The walls of the office are covered with portraits of previous Headmasters and Headmistresses. The wall immediately behind the Headmaster's desk has a shelf holding the Sorting Hat. Gryffindor's sword is kept in a glass case beside the Sorting Hat.

Located directly below the Great Hall and is just the same size. To get to the kitchens, take the door to the right of the main staircase in the Entrance Hall. Follow the corridor until you come to a painting of a bowl of fruit. Tickle the pear and it giggles and becomes a door handle.

A long line of beds, with screens available for privacy, Madam Pomfrey's office is at one end.

On the forth floor is the Hogwarts Library. The library contains tens of thousands of books on thousands of shelves. Included in its many sections is an Invisibility Section, a section with information about dragons, and a Restricted Section at the back, set off with a rope. A signed note from a teacher is required to peruse that section of the library.

Located off the Entrance Hall, a stone gargoyle stands on either side of the door; they challenge any student who tries to knock on the door.

Hogwarts has a trophy room where all the old awards, trophies, statues, cups, plates, shields, and medals are kept in crystal display cases. There is also a list of all the head boys and girls.

The lake is approximately a half-mile in diameter. Various creatures live in the lake & not all of them friendly, be on your gaurd if you deside to go for a swim on a a hot day.
